The Danz Studio, formerly known as Danz Dimensions, was first opened in 1989 and only offered one class, an award winnning competition team for middle school students. Since then it has expanded to 13 classes for ages 3 and up. In 2004, we moved into a newly remodeled and spacious studio located on the second floor at 98 South Main in Gunnison. All classes are taught by an instructor with more than 20 years of teaching experience with small classes for individual attention.

The Danz Studio in Gunnison, UT offers classes in Classical Ballet & Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap and Ballroom for everyone, ages 3 and up. The students are taught correct technique and vocabulary in a fun environment. All dancers are given the opportunity to perform and compete at dance competitions. Last year, we were awarded one Overall, seventeen 1st places, seven 2nd's and four 3rd's.

Classical Ballet:

Ballet I/II (4th grade and Up)- Wed. 4:00 to 5:00

Jazz and Tap combined:

Jazz/Lyrical/Contemporary:

Hip Hop:

Ballroom:
Classes will be held next year if there is enough interest.

Once weekly classes are $22 a month.
Twice weekly classes (PrePointe and Pointe) are $32 a month

There is a $15 registration fee per family per year.

**Multi-class discount - Second class for $12 and third class $8 more a month**

*Family Discount - 2 dancers for $38 a month and 3 dancers for $52 a month*
Add $10 more if you have a pointe student.

One costume bought per dance year per class. Costume prices: $40 to $55.

Q. What are the students required to wear to classes?
A.
Younger Jazz/Tap class can wear anything they can move freely in. Plus they will need black dance shoes as well as black tap shoes.

Ballroom
*Girls - Tan ballroom/character shoes and dance clothes.
*Boys - Black formal shoes and anything they can dance in.

Hip Hop can wear anything that they can move freely in and black dance sneakers.

Jr. and Sr. Company will be required to wear black dance pants to practices and either black dance shoes or the nude Foot-undezz depending on costume.

Classical Ballet classes
*Girls must wear pink slippers, pink tights and any color leotard (Skirts optional for center work) and hair pulled back.
*Boys - white shirt, black pants or shorts and black dance slippers.



Q. Where can I get dance clothes and shoes?
A. The studio can order them for you plus we have a selection of leotards, tights, skirts, dance pants, studio shirts, jackets and backpacks as well as new and used shoes in the office. If shopping online I like to use Discount Dance Supply.

Q. How do I register for classes?
A. Contact TeriLee at (435) 528-3012 - or click the 'Send Message' button below and email the dancers name, age, contact name and phone number as well as which class you are registering for.

Q. Are students required to compete?
A. Competitions do not require any more time than a regular performance. The students arrive 40 minutes before their performance time and can leave as soon as they are done. Most parents only spend one hour to an hour and a half at competitions. All students are given the chance to compete but you may choose not to. Middle school and High School students can attend 3 or 4 IN-state competitions a year and the younger classes compete in Richfield and Spanish Fork only. In addition, everyone can choose to take 3 extra weeks of classes and compete at Lagoon in mid June.

The studio is located upstairs in the corner building on Main and 100 South. Parking is available on the south side of the building. The entrance is located between the Dive/Quilt shop and the historic 'Casino Star Theatre'.
