FENG SHUI FORECAST 2012 YEAR OF WATER DRAGON

The dragon is all powerful. Take a ride on the back of the dragon throughout the year and it will bring you a new sense of adventure and wonderment. Feared by many, a creature that is as ancient, lasting, and as dynamic, as is the dragon, brings with it for all, "power to the people".
Things will seem to speed up swiftly this year. We now communicate with each other in virtual real time through internet.
We may achieve what we want this year, both individually and collectively, as our 'oneness mindset' organically sprouts roots of communicated knowledge, changing our perception of our Self forever.
Thus, it will be a year full of glorious, breathtaking transformation into the people we've come here to be.
Our world is a globe, a most perfect shape. Be therefore perfect, be your authentic self. Look yourself in the mirror and affirm "Why change perfection?" Trust that the perfection of the universe supports everyone able to be them self.

Fire element is missing this year, so while we light candles, or add flame colors to space and in our wardrobe, we add balance to the elemental structure, reflected in our lives. Turn on the lights.
This simple practice of 'brightening' will instantly help lesson disagreements between people.

FENG SHUI PLACEMENT
February 4th of each year is the traditional day to set cures. Cures may be set on days throughout the year as well, and will be effective once intentioned. In order to find a direction of a location, stand in the center of the house or room, use a quality compass, and take accurate measurements. There are 24 mountains or locations (3 sub directions within each of the 8 directions) surrounding us, all the time,
each one providing us with a unique quality of energy. Tapping into them all can only give advantage, so its good to know where each one varies by degree, and requires fine tuned measurement in order to place cures/enhancements correctly.

I recommend printing out this report and taking it with you, as a guide, to all 9 palaces. Many times, throughout the year, a checking in and rework of the space may be in order. Take your time with the review, and work on one location before moving onto another. This year begin in the southeast, and continue on curing all locations that are negatively effected. Work in sequence as I describe below,
from worst to best locations, completing the process with enhancements to auspicious areas.
Cultivate the chi.

TAI SUI~GRAND DUKE JUPITER
The commanding governor of the year resides, sitting upon the Dragon southeast (112.5-127.5 degrees). Avoid facing this compass direction as much as possible. Instead, gain his gifting support, by sitting as he sits, with your back or side to SE1. Do not disturb the area. Spend little time here. Display Dragon imagery.

SAU PO~BROKEN SOLDIER
Directly opposite Tai Sui is Sau Po, also known as year breaker. It is considered disastrous to sit on this location at northwest (292.5-307.5 degrees). Relocate chairs, sofas, beds to other areas. Give respect to this sliver of space running along the axis of NW1 and SE1.

SUI SHA~THREE KILLINGS
This affliction spans the entire southern exposure (142.5-217.5 degrees) incorporating SE3 year curse on the left, S2 robbery curse in the middle, and SW1 calamity curse on the right. Cure it by confronting it. Place furniture in such a way as to favor a view of the south. Keep an eye on it and let it be.


SOUTHEAST
The most unlucky and potentially devastating of stars, the 5 star of disaster flies to the southeast in 2012.
This star is mitigated by entering the southeast which corresponds as an intrinsic wood element location; wood kills earth. In any case, the 5 star is an unstable earth star that requires metal to overwhelm it and control it. Clear this space of any important activities which would require you to work, play, live or sleep here for long periods of time. Spend time in more beneficial locations. Keep this space simple and unoccupied. You do not want to activate this area by loud activity like banging hammers from construction work. Cure with chimes, or a beautiful metal singing bowl. A plain metal bowl is better than nothing. No knives or sharp dangerous metals here. A 6 string of Chinese coins tied with red thread is a traditional cure for afflicted areas. A gong would also work here, clanged on occasion to break up the static and cleanse the stagnate chi. Do not light candles here, or use flame colors in the design. Use white, round, gold, silver, copper, bronze metallic décor.

NORTH
The energy could feel like mud this year, as the 2 earth star of illness flies into the north palace of intrinsic water element. Keep the area super clean and organized. It will seem like this location will need constant supervision and the area will appear lazy and unresponsive, always a mess. Be vigilant. Hang chimes, bells, coins, utilize metal objects to cure.

NORTHWEST
Double check to see that locks on doors and windows are solid and working. Install good lighting so as not to be in the dark fumbling for keys. The 7 star of violence and robbery flies to northwest areas in 2012 and these locations are prime for target if not cured. My favorite cure for this affliction is a glass bowl filled with pristine still water placed impeccably, and changed weekly with clean pure water. Do not place water in a bedroom. Other cures include a blue tigers eye crystal ball, or 6 peacock feathers tied with red ribbon. To the western world, these cures may seem hocus pocus, and if that is the case with you, they will not work. Use instead, symbols of guardian angel imagery so as to appear to watch over you and your belongings. The rhinoceros and elephant images are also long time known to keep thieves at bay. Make sure when you park your car, take your keys and lock your doors and windows, especially if you park in the NW side of any lot. Think safety first here. Most effected is the patriarch.

SOUTHWEST
Arguments and disagreements could get out of control and lead to unresolved feelings. The 3 star of quarrels flies to southwest locations, breaking up the intrinsic earth. Add some lighting and decorate with the warm end of the color spectrum. Use all shades of red, orange, yellow, and violet to suppress the cranky energy. Spread some sunshine around. Lights that twinkle are good. Think of how the lights of Las Vegas have tamed the desert expanse. Turn on the chandelier. Burn your candles here this year. Most effected is the matriarch.

NORTHEAST
The future wealth 9 star flies to northeast areas in 2012. This is another area where lighting and the element of fire will bring profits to savings. Since the element of fire is missing from the chart, this is another area where burning incense or candles will help level the imbalance. The existing stars are related to fire and earth harmonically, and the addition of wood here by introducing a vase of fresh flowers or lush plant will help feed the creative cycle of elements.

EAST
The precarious negative energies from last year in this location are over. Whew. Peach blossom luck now presents the conditions for attracting a partnership or renewing positive relationships. Studies of new knowledge and new ways of doing things come easily. Travel is on the horizon. Place healthy growing flowering plants here to enhance the positive change. Place a clear quartz crystal globe or natural cluster on your work desk, in the east to improve studies. Purple amethyst placed here helps keep loyalty and devotion with loved ones.

CENTER
The glorious 6 star of windfall wealth resides in the center, influencing all other directions in 2012. Use earth element to magnify it, as earth creates metal, the element of the 6 star. A ceramic bowl of various gemstones of all color support the stars inherent gifts. You can also use 6 crystal spheres, or a large pink quartz stone, just do not over do it. Use finesse in placement. A wealth vase will work if you can hide it away in a cabinet. Decorate in earth tones. No reds or fire elements. Where is the center of the house? Where is the center of each room?


SOUTH
Open the windows and open the door to let in the fresh, positive energy of the 1star of career wealth. Enhance for wealth creation with water features and shiny metallic wealth producers like the lucky money frog, or 5 Chinese coins tied with red thread. Use black with bronze, or navy with gold in the design. Incorporate the oval shape. Even though this is intrinsically a fire ruled location, the addition of elements water and metal will generate the gains from the 1 star visiting the south in 2012.


WEST
The 8 star of present wealth has flown to the west location, and if activated properly with the presence of water will create success. This star is controlled by the intrinsic metal element of the west. In order to control metal, water is introduced, thus reversing the cycle of elements into a deconstructive cycle, freeing the earth element as able to rule. We do not want to kill the intrinsic metal element with fire element as this would obliterate the intrinsic metal element of the west, home to the 8 star this year. Wood elements do no good either, as wood kills earth, the element of the 8 star. Water element is not only the last resort possible among elements, it is the element that magnifies the wealth production of the 8 star, especially during the reigning 8 period. For with out water, there is no wealth. So power up the west with moving water. If you can not place real water here, i.e., if this is your bedroom, then by all means, activate with water symbolism; blacks, dark blues, irregular shapes and patterns. Rolling ball water features are great, be sure the water is flowing into the house and not away. An earthen, ceramic container is best for fountains placed here. In addition, citrine crystals are a terrific wealth enhancer.

ANCIENT CHINESE SECRET REGARDING WEALTH CREATION
It is said, that activating the reigning period star with the former period star and future period star together opens the possibility for extraordinary wealth creation. This means by energizing the areas where the 7 star and 9 star reside, in addition to enhancing the 8 star, wealth is increased. So make sure the W, NW, and NE are all enhanced with positive wealth intention through the placement of items which hold meaningful value for you.


Become aware of POISON ARROWS~
Change is happening all the time. A neighbor puts up a satellite dish or plants a tree that arrows toward your house. A new building goes up outside or a furniture corner is pointing at you from inside your home. These need to be remedied. If the arrow affecting you can not be removed, the cure is to place the killing element between you and the direction the arrow is coming from. As an example: a satellite dish is arrowing a house from the north. The north is associated with water element. What kills water? Earth. In this situation hang a crystal here to solve the problem. Another example: the northeast cabinet corner points at me while I wash dishes. The NE is related to earth element. What kills earth? Wood. By hanging a plant at the arrowing corner I cure the affliction. TO AUGMENT A POISON ARROW~ Use the killing cycle of elements: water kills fire, fire kills metal, metal kills wood, wood kills earth, earth kills water.

CURING A DISASTROUS STAR~
Cure a star by using it's exhaustive element. Example of the exhaustive cycle of elements is (for disastrous stars): to use water for exhausting metal, use metal for exhausting earth, use earth for exhausting fire, use fire for exhausting wood, use wood for exhausting water.

ENHANCING AN AUSPISCIOUS STAR~
Enhance a star by using the productive cycle of elements. Example of the productive cycle is (for auspicious stars): to use water for producing wood, use wood for producing fire, use fire for producing earth, use earth for producing metal, use metal for producing water.

TAKE IT ALL AWAY.
INTENTION THE DIRECTION.
PLACE BACK ONLY WHAT YOU LOVE INTO THE SPACE.

GET RID OF THE REST OF it...
TRASH it...GIVE it AWAY...DONATE it...SELL it...DO NOT HAVE it ANYMORE.

It is always beneficial to declutter and clean a living space before setting cures and enhancements. I recommend working on one room at a time. Take everything away and put back only what you use or love. Start with most challenging rooms first...for example, locations that need cure. Then move on to the locations that need enhancement. This way you will consistantly be raising the vitality of the entire space. If you run into a situation that just is not practical...do nothing and keep on...by achieving 70% or more of quality feng shui practice you will have your feng shui working for you. Every year feng shui changes energy pattern and this system is known as time dimension formula. This formula can be used with various schools of feng shui, and in my opinion achieves benefit when utilized with other theories. Rather than bombard you with the many wares other websites encourage you to buy, I am keeping this forecast simple by only recommending the required element with an occasional mention of Chinese symbolism.

It's all about turning the negatives into positives, balancing the yin and yang. Work each area to completion before going on to the next. When you are through with the cures and enhancements suggested for the year you will be able to experience a palpable harmonic resonance within your space. Do what you can do now. If you need to collect an element needed, you can place it later anytime during the year as necessary. Keep checking into your space periodically. I have found simple adjustments throughout the year within the space will create dramatic results. Feng Shui is about change. Nothing is static. The old will give way to the new.

I have witnessed that energies grow stronger as the year progresses, much like a sprouting plant grows into a strong tree. As always, there is more information to be garnered for deepening your feng shui practice. This report is only one way to quickly and efficiently improve the energy in your space. Feng Shui is the art and science of balancing space so that it is a beautiful place with function for everything. Through the careful placement of five elements (fire, earth, metal, water, wood) in alignment with the natural environment feng shui creates a positive, practical, supportive, and harmonious place for living.

The Elements:

Wood - Items made from wood, plants, flowers, carvings, bamboo screens, wood desks, wood tables. All shapes of rectangles and colors green, lighter blues, and the brown of real wood.

Fire - Fireplaces, candles, flame, combustion. All shapes triangular and fire colors of red, orange, pink, purple, flame.

Earth - Clay, dirt, crystals, cement, tile. All shapes square, and the colors of browns, yellows, earth tones.

Metal - Silver, gold, bronze, brass, copper, metal chimes, metallic pots/pans/bowls. All shapes circular or round. Colors of metallic, glint, shine, white, grey, gold.

Water - Aquariums, fountains, working faucets, pools and spas, mirrors. All shapes wavy or irregular, undefinable. All colors deep and dark blueish, blackish and reflective.

Place suggested elements or representation of an element(ie. it's color)where there is need for cure or enhancement. Use your imagination. Find creative symbols to incorporate into your space. It may be the color, design, shape, or actual element that becomes the remedy. The beauty of feng shui is that you will know when it is working because you will instantly be able to feel it's correctness; you will know intuitively that it is right. Science gives us road map suggestion, art gives your unique creation.

Note: Avoid yang water or yang wood in a location if it is near a bed. These elements are too strong for a restful sleep and may be ingredients for a recipe of illness.

Flying star feng shui is based on a system of time. Everything is on a constant continuum of change. The original founders of feng shui observed and recorded behavioral phenomenom based on spacial relationship and time cycles. They were able to record a pattern that continues to cycle, and based on this pattern we have the annual charts of today, as well as the ability to chart for the future. The only way we have of accurately proving this theory is to look at the past to see that it precisely matches up with former charts. This year the pattern has shifted (as it does every year) for instance, with the 5 star of fatality residing in the east of the chart. It is an earth element star so by utilizing metal element we exhaust this affliction. According to five element theory by adding metal we weaken earth by overwhelming it.
