Tomaj Trenda has been a professional dancer and dance educator since 1985. He holds a degree in Dance Education with a specialty in motor skills development. As a dance faculty member at the University of Washington, Cornish College of the Arts and the University of the West Indies, Tomaj taught thousands of students the joy of dance. He began dancing Salsa in 1995 and trained with world-renouned Salsa dancers Alex de Silva, Joby & Luis Vasquez and Laura Canellias. He is a current member of the dance faculty at the College of Marin, where he teaches Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha and Swing. He is the Director of the SalsaFire Dance Company, and a full-time Dance Instructor. Tomaj teaches hundreds of students every week via group classes and private lessons throughout the Bay Area and at his studio in Emeryville.
